Update the firmware from your computer
Only if your device was made before August 2026 — or you're not sure
Devices made before August 2026 shipped with firmware that predates the app. Restoring the firmware brings them up to date. You do this once, from a computer — not from the phone. If you're not sure when yours was made, do it anyway — restoring a device that is already up to date does no harm.
- Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable.
- Open CircuitBlocks at code.circuitmess.com and log in.
- Go to the top right of the screen, choose Restore firmware, then pick your device.
- Wait for it to finish, then unplug your device.
