Yes. The modules slide into the expansion slot on the back of MAKERphone 2.0, which is sold separately. The phone detects each module and adds its app to your menu automatically. The phone takes one module at a time, and the fold-out QWERTY keyboard adds room for a second.
You'll see how a phone works with outside hardware: how a camera captures images, how infrared remotes send signals, and how sensors measure temperature and humidity. With the DIY Perf Board and VibeBoy, you can go further and build and code a module of your own.
They don't overlap. The Expansion Module Pack covers the essentials: Camera, Big Speaker, Flashlight, Environment, Infrared and DIY Perf Board. The Pro Module Pack adds nine more: LoRa, Gyroscope, GPS, Jam, Sub-Screen, Rumble, Compass, Pixels and Laser. Get both for all 15.
No. Just slide a module in and its app appears. The one exception is the DIY Perf Board, which is made for soldering your own circuits, so you'll need a soldering iron and a little practice for that one. Our Tools Pack has everything you need.
