You'll learn how light-sensitive robots work. Building Dusty teaches you about photoresistors (which detect light) and transistors (which control the flow of electricity). You'll see these principles in action as you assemble your own light-following crab robot.
We recommend Dusty for ages 7 and up. The build involves small parts and fairly detailed instructions, so it's best suited for older kids, teens, and adults. Younger children can certainly participate with adult supervision.
No prior experience with electronics is needed to build Dusty. The kit is designed for beginners, and we provide clear, step-by-step instructions to guide you through the assembly process.
You'll probably spend around an hour putting Dusty together. It's a fun build, and then you can bring your light-following crab robot to life!
