You'll learn the basic principles of sound waves and oscillation, and see how those principles apply to the electronic components you're assembling (circuit board, LEDs, battery, etc.). Plus, you'll sharpen your problem-solving and instruction-following skills.
Hertz is best for ages 7 and up. It may be a robot with many electronic parts, but the instructions are intuitive and we offer plenty of resources to help children and beginners finish this project.
You don't need prior experience for this kit. We made it for beginners and it's meant to teach you the basics of electronics, robotics, and how this project interacts with Bit.
It takes around 15 minutes to assemble Hertz. It's an easy build so you can play with it quickly!
To unlock the bonus game, you'll need CircuitMess game console Bit. Follow the provided instructions to unlock your game. (Bit console sold separately).
